The official launch of the Sustainable Development Goals Center for Africa (SDGC/A)
Lusaka Sub-Regional Center for the Southern Africa Region, scheduled to take place on the 07th August 2019 at the MULUNGUSHI International Conference Centre,
in Lusaka, Zambia.
The official launch is co-organized by The Government of the Republic of Zambia as the Host Country.
The event is convened by the SDGC/A and will bring together over 200 government officials, international authorities, development finance institutions, Statistics Institutions and experts from the Southern Africa and abroad, to discuss the major themes relevant to SDG implementation in Africa with focus on the Southern Region.
The SDGC/A, headquartered in Kigali, Rwanda, is an autonomous non-for profit international organization, that provides technical support, neutral advice and expertise as input to national governments, private sector, civil society, academic institutions to accelerate the implementation of the SDG agenda across Africa.
The Lusaka SDGC/A Sub-regional Center will support mainly the Southern Africa Region countries in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with more focus on regional priorities and challenges, and will serve Africa as a whole.
